AP High Court gives green signal for local elections

 
Amravati : It is a known fact that in the last few days, AP Government has been the state election commissioner. CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy says elections are not coming now.

Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar said that both of them had gone for such schemes. The state Supreme Court today handed down a landmark judgment as the matter eventually went to court.

The AP High Court on Thursday delivered a landmark judgment on the local elections. The High Court bench clarified that the panchayat elections should continue. Judgment given by the Single Bench imposing stay on the election


 On this occasion, the High Court commented that both public health and elections are important. Elections should be held without bothering anyone. The High Court directed the government to move ahead with the coordination of the state election commission

 The SEC has announced the election schedule for the 8th of this month. On the 11th, the High Court single judge struck down the SEC orders. The SEC went on appeal against these orders.
